Blanket

A large, rectangular piece of soft fabric, often with bound edges, used especially for warmth as a bed covering. a similar piece of fabric used as a covering for a horse, dog, etc. A blanket is a swath of soft cloth large enough either to cover or to enfold most of the user’s body and thick enough to keep the body warm by trapping radiant body heat that otherwise would be lost through convection.

Blankets are something that can calm a person, give comfort and warmth, and just make you feel special. I know I have blankets at home that I treasure for one or all of those reasons.
